We’re all about our local community; we listen to our customers and deliver a menu that’s fit for everyone from the fussy little guys to Melbourne’s flavour-seeking foodies. Created by two chefs, each burger has its own character, its own story and its own sauce. There’s personality and style in every item on our menu from the massive mouth-watering ZFC Burger, right through to the mind-blowing beauty that is The Cheez; each decadent plateful is created by the Ziggy’s team using the best 100% Aussie made produce we can get our hands on. We make all of our sauces on site, and serve up a feast using only prime cuts of meat. For us, it’s all in the detail and we’re serious about making people happy through our food.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Ziggy’s Eatery is for the curious, flavour-seeking and downright creative eaters from the local neighbourhoods of Balaclava and beyond. Providing the best in burgers, phat fries, and homemade sauces served with a twist, Ziggy’s love for quality produce is at the centre of every meal. With a passion for street culture, Ziggy’s honest attitude towards customer service, great attention to top quality freshness and above all tasty food, keeps even the most discerning foodies of Melbourne more than satisfied.

MEET THE MINDS BEHIND ZIGGY’S

Food runs deep for Ziggy’s Founders Moshik Ferder and Assaf Stizki who between them have over 40 years working in fine culinary establishments all over the world.

Moshik started his cooking journey at the age of 15 in a burger franchise (surprise!) before studying French Cookery at College. Working at a top American restaurant abroad, Moshik’s love for carefully aged, prime cuts of meat and special imports from around the world was born. Ultimately, it was during a dirt bike trek through South East Asia and Australia, when he made a promise to himself that he’d soon take his chef’ing skills down under and make Australia home.

Assaf is Ziggy’s multi-faceted jack-of-all-trades and master of one, food. Alongside a successful career in Europe, most notably as head chef at the Dinitz Group in Prague, Assaf’s limitless creativity extends beyond food and into music, technology and design. Together, their genuine urban attitude spills effortlessly into Ziggy’s personality, giving it an authentic, street, no BS vibe, with great beats, high quality eats and a relaxed and comfortable environment that customers continue to come back for.

Since joining forces in 2012, Assaf and Moshik have continued to transform their family business, ‘Ziggy’s Eatery’, into a much-loved success story. With a fresh sense of entrepreneurship, an honest attitude towards customer service, great attention to top quality freshness and above all tasty food, Ziggy’s Eatery keeps the discerning foodies of Melbourne more than satisfied.
